Gas, oil changes, brakes, tires, depreciation—it all eats into your earnings. That $1,500 week might actually be $900 or less in real profit.
I started tracking per mile profit instead of total earnings, and honestly it changed how I drive completely.
Are you guys tracking net profit or just going by what the app shows?

100% agree with this.
Smart drivers track numbers, others just stay busy.

After doing this full-time, you realize it’s all about efficiency.
Not how many trips you do, but how much you keep

This is something new drivers don’t understand at all.
They think gross earnings = profit

I started using an app to track everything.
Honestly wish I did that from day one.

Maintenance hits out of nowhere too.
One repair can wipe out a whole week’s earnings easily

Gas alone has been killing my margins lately.
Feels like I’m working more but keeping less.

People love posting screenshots but don’t show expenses.
Real profit is what matters at the end of the week.

Once I started calculating per mile, I stopped accepting low-paying trips.
It really changes your mindset from driver to business owner.

Depreciation is what most drivers ignore.
You’re putting thousands of miles on your car every month, that cost is real.

I used to chase big weekly numbers too until I actually tracked everything.
After gas and maintenance, I realized I was making way less than I thought.
