If You’re Accepting Every Ride, You’re Probably Losing Money

Early on I used to accept every trip thinking more rides = more money.

Reality is, long pickups, low fares, and dead miles will destroy your earnings.

Now I’m way more selective, and I actually make more while driving less.

Anyone else changed their strategy over time?

Exactly. Not all rides are worth your time.

That’s the biggest lesson in this job.

Once you treat this like a business, everything changes.

You stop taking bad deals.

I used to be afraid of deactivation for low acceptance rate.

Now I realize that fear was unnecessary.

Smart driving beats working longer hours.

It’s all about choosing the right trips.

I started rejecting anything under a certain rate per mile.

That alone improved my earnings.

Acceptance rate doesn’t pay bills at the end of the day.

Profit does.

Trip radar helped me be more selective lately.

Now I only pick what actually makes sense.

Dead miles are what really hurt.

People don’t realize how much unpaid driving they do.

Long pickups are the worst.

You drive 10 minutes just to make $4, it makes no sense.

Same here. I used to keep my acceptance rate high for no reason.

Once I stopped caring about that, my income improved.
